Eric T. Haas, Esq.

Of Counsel

Eric T. Haas has practiced real estate and business law in New York for more than 30 years.
​
Mr. Haas has represented insurance companies, banks, and other financial institutions, pension funds, foreign investors, developers, corporations, and high-net-worth individuals. In real estate, his work has involved most types of property, including office buildings, industrial and warehouse facilities, shopping centers and other retail properties, hotels, and multi-family projects, across the country.  It has also covered the gamut of types of transactions, including:  acquisitions and dispositions of assets and interests in entities; leasing (for both landlords and tenants), including office leases, retail leases, net leases, ground leases, lease abstracting and reviews, etc.; management and franchise arrangements and agreements; work with properties having environmental issues or concerns; financings, including straight mortgages, securitized mortgages, bond financings, sale-leasebacks, and investment syndications and offerings; development, design, and construction activities and contracts; and distressed loans and workouts.

Mr. Haas has also advised clients concerning the formation of entities for a variety of endeavors, including the structuring of the entities to address a variety of concerns, such as governance, dispute resolution, and continuity and succession matters, and including the preparation and modification of partnership agreements, operating agreements, by-laws, shareholder agreements, etc., and ongoing corporate (or entity) administration including meetings, resolutions, and the like.  Furthermore, he has assisted many clients with strategic advice involving areas of law beyond strictly corporate and real estate disciplines.

Prior to Osborn, Mr. Haas practiced at Rogers & Wells (now Clifford Chance LLP), followed by Gelberg & Abrams, and later moved to LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, L.L.P., where he was a partner for more than a dozen years.
