Professional Experience

Mr. Gonzalez had a distinguished twenty-year career in public service.  Under the Bloomberg Administration, he served as the Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Juvenile Justice and as the General Counsel for the Department of Probation.  Under the Giuliani Administration, he served as the Chief of Staff and the Associate Commissioner for the Department of Probation. 

 

Additionally, Mr. Gonzalez was appointed an Administrative Law Judge and presided over civil matters concerning the City of New York.  He also served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office, the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor, and as a Special Prosecutor for the Kings County District Attorney’s Office.   As a Prosecutor, Mr. Gonzalez litigated a wide range of cases ranging from white-collar crimes to homicides.  Mr. Gonzalez also worked as a Confidential Investigator assigned to the prestigious Major Case Unit under the Department of Investigation.   

 

Mr. Gonzalez is admitted to practice law in both New York and New Jersey.
