Professional Experience

Richard L. Elbert, AIA has experience in construction, environmental, real estate, architect and engineer defence, and other commercial litigation focusing on the representation of large institutional owners. Mr. Elbert also handles zoning and land use matters and drafts and reviews construction and design contracts.

 

Richard L. Elbert, AIA has represented all participants in the construction process, including contractors, architects, engineers, construction managers, consultants, developers and owners. His clients include renowned international and national architectural, engineering and construction firms.

 

Mr. Elbert’s extensive background in the construction industry as a registered architect provides for a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of the construction industry. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Elbert was employed as a project architect and later, the principal of his own architectural firm, and has held various elected and appointed public service positions, including town Planning Boards. His architectural experience includes the design, construction development and project management of numerous publicly and privately financed buildings, as well as serving as the Site Architect for an international corporation’s research, manufacturing and office complex.

 

Mr. Elbert is admitted to practice law in the federal and state courts of New York and New Jersey.
